Anti-Racism

Posted on June 6, 2025November 6, 2025 by see

A publicly published video of the brutal killing of George Perry Floyd, an African American man, by law enforcement racists on the 25th May 2020, in Minneapolis, sparked anti-racism protests in the U.S.A. and other countries worldwide.

The relentless call for justice by the protesters led to the firing of the racist police officer, who was eventually charged with second-degree manslaughter and second-degree murder. Three of his colleagues were also fired and charged with aiding and abetting second-degree murder.

The “Black Lives Matter (BLM)” movement gained momentum worldwide. Large posters were displayed, and BLM t-shirts were worn on the streets by anti-racism activists and protesters to raise awareness of persistent systemic racism.

There have been protests against racism in every generation. While segregation has been officially dismantled, systemic racism remains the status quo. Could the new wave of global protests trigger a complete overhaul of the insidious change process imposed by the political institution following the protests?

In the same month of May 2020 that George Floyd was murdered, a white woman called the NYPD and falsely accused a Black man of threatening her life in a video intelligently recorded by the African American being accused. Her action in the video showed that she was confident that, without evidence, whatever she told the police would be accepted as the truth, and the Black man would be charged.

On 12 June 2020, Rayshard Brooks, an African American, was killed by White police in Atlanta. The killing is the indirect, albeit indisputable, answer from White supremacist racists to all anti-racism protesters worldwide; White supremacists will do whatever it takes to retain power; they will never hesitate to kill Blacks.

Racism is genetically implanted in White supremacists over generations. These racists are dependent on racism to boost their self-esteem. They are psychopaths that need racism like healthy humans need oxygen. They have been waging war against Blacks for centuries, and their goal is to eradicate the Black race. But they will never achieve their goal.

Global anti-racism protests may bring about some cosmetic changes in a racism infected law enforcement system, but will not initiate fundamental changes that ensure justice and equality for all.

The unwarranted use of brutal force by the police will persist if there is no law banning law enforcement officers from using unnecessary force. White supremacist racists exploit the void to carry out unjustified killings of Blacks. An appropriate law that stipulates punishment for using excessive force or racially motivated killing must be passed. Law enforcement must be aware that society deplores brutality and racial attacks.

The Black community should, by now, realize that protesting alone will never effectuate desired changes to create equal chances in all aspects of the economy and social development for all races.

White supremacist racists have built formidable barriers and dehumanizing machinery over generations to marginalize, demean, and frustrate Blacks. The Black community must create and implement a novel strategy to disable and destroy this machinery.

The Black community should create and adopt efficient fundraising principles integrated into the Black culture. The generated funds should provide finance for business start-ups and support Black enterprises. The ultimate aim of the funding is to mitigate unemployment and poverty in the Black community. Science, technology, and entrepreneurship must be essential pillars of the Black culture.

The Black community must defend and protect itself against all forms of atrocities. In this respect, science, technology, and entrepreneurship centers should be available in every Black community to empower the community with scientific, technological, and entrepreneurship skills.

Protest marches alone will not deter racists from employing racism to their advantage. The Black community must deconstruct the racist structures and channels that were built over generations to sustain White supremacist racism.

The “Black Lives Matter” movement should not stay at the level of protest marches, speeches, displaying of placards, and wearing t-shirts with BLM prints. The movement should create an agenda that includes projects and actions to be taken to legally, politically, economically, and socially implement justice and equality for all races.

Despite protests, atrocities against Blacks have been rampant over the years. There is a horrifying feeling that racists are gaining power and getting bolder. In Europe, Black footballers are openly racially abused, and Blacks, in general, are daily targets of police racial profiling.

Two German policemen randomly stopped a Black man in Stuttgart and asked for his passport. The man gave one of the policemen his passport. The policeman scrolled through the document, stared at the Black man, and scrolled through the passport again. He then turned to his colleague and asked, “Is Italy a member of the EU?” His colleague, apparently embarrassed, replied, “I would say yes!” The policeman, looking confused, gave the Black man his passport back without saying a word and staggered away.

In July 2020, German interior minister Horst Seehofer declined to approve a proposal to research racial profiling in Germany. He argued that such research is not necessary because racial profiling is against the law in Germany, and the police institution abides by the law. A week later, the police department in Stuttgart proclaimed conducting genealogical research of a group of young people with an immigration background who were involved in a clash with the police. The police declared the action as normal and had nothing to do with racism because two Germans were also involved.

In July 2020, after all the anti-racism protests, the British Vogue editor, Edward Enninful, revealed that he was racially profiled by a security guard on his way into his office. The machinery of racism encompasses several tools, including marginalization, exclusion, racial profiling, camouflaged injustice and inequality, dehumanization, criminalization, and deprivation of economic development. The united forces of anti-racism must dismantle the machinery and demolish the vehicle of racism.

White supremacist racists and racist institutions have ready-made answers to support their racist actions. They have created devastating economic and social labyrinths to entangle and choke Blacks. The Black community must move on from protesting alone to employing scientific, technological, and entrepreneurial strategies to eliminate the deadly traps set by the racists.

It is quite interesting to notice a lot of Whites but a negligible number of people categorized as “colored,” including Asians, participating in anti-racism protest marches. The irony is that it is very seldom that we witness a White rebuking a White racist and condemning racism when the racist is racially attacking a Black.

The tricky divisive method of separating target groups and hindering the formation of a united force against racism by praising one group and criminalizing the other by the racists seems to be effective. The method provides a standard psychologically supportive argument for White racists.

White supremacist racists and their counterpart Neo-Nazis, are gaining supporters in Europe, irrespective of massive protest marches. The right-wing political party won against the established parties in many cities in Germany. Neo-Nazi groups comprising elite military officers were detected in Germany, and the right-wing president of Poland was re-elected in the July 2020 election.

There is a disparity in the degree of racism awareness and consciousness among Blacks worldwide. Blacks who grew up in loving environments where racism is not present and social acceptance is the norm have a different perception of racism compared to Blacks who grew up in New York, for example.

It is not uncommon that Blacks from a racism-free background experience racism for the first time in Europe or the U.S.A. For such Blacks, recognizing and reacting adequately to racial attacks become a learning process that could turn into an exhausting ordeal. The determination to defy racism will energize the victim to resist and overcome.

The advent of the internet and social media enables droplets of educative information about the brutality of the slave trade and the genocide committed by the colonialists in Africa to trickle into focus. Schools, particularly in Africa, must teach scholars about the impact of the slave trade, slavery, colonialism, and racism.

The Black community respects and adores the achievements of the great women and men who broke down the physical and written barriers of slavery, apartheid, and segregation through resiliency, historical peaceful protest marches, and their negotiation ingenuity. Building upon these achievements, it is mandatory to update anti-racism activities to combat racism in the 21st century.

It is necessary to create an international task force committee responsible for defining and identifying racial slurs, abuses, and attacks that should be classified as racial criminal offenses. The committee should propose penalties and sentences for the conviction of racial criminal offenses. The proposal could be passed into law in each member country of the task force. A racist should be sentenced to jail if the penalty for the offense committed is a jail term

The Constitution of the United States of America conclusively sanctioned the abolition of the international slave trade on the 1st of January 1808. In 1964, the Civil Rights Act was enacted in the U.S.A., and in South Africa, the formation of an inclusive democratic government marked the official end of apartheid in 1994. Today, erected statues of slave traders and colonialists are falling, and Confederate flags are gradually disappearing.

Article 1 of the constitution of most countries mandates that human dignity is inviolable, and inequality, injustice, discrimination, and racism are prohibited. The daily experience of Blacks living in countries where White supremacy is callously predominant is the opposite of the statement in the Constitution. Systemic racism is institutionalized to block the paths to success for Blacks in all aspects of life. Racism is violence. Racism is a crime against humanity, and society must denounce it.      Video
