The African Elephant

Observe what tenderness of the mother for its infant,

Standing guard to let it first drink its fill,

Together rolling in protective, glorious mud,

Then signaling the way back

To the daily routine

Of reducing tropical forest to grassland. Wangusa (Uganda)

When to Consider Bankruptcy

You may want to consider bankruptcy if you are unable to pay the minimum monthly payment on your debt every month, are receiving harassing and threatening phone calls from bill collectors, have recently lost a stream of income, have been diagnosed with a serious illness, or are experiencing some other family emergency that has overwhelmed you with debt that you cannot handle. When you are feeling overwhelmed by debt, it is usually a good idea to consult an attorney to discuss the debt relief options that may be available to you.

What is Knowledge?

If I put $100 in my savings account, and the bank pays 5% interest yearly, then at the end of one year the bank will compute the interest of $5 and add it to my principal and I will have $105 in the bank. This pattern represents knowledge, which, when I understand it, allows me to understand how the pattern will evolve over time and the results it will produce. In understanding the pattern, I know, and what I know is knowledge. If I deposit more money in my account, I will earn more interest, while if I withdraw money from my account, I will earn less interest.
